2. Standard Terms and Conditions

We aim to offer all our clients a friendly and efficient service and understand that you will want to know the basis on which we will act for you.

3. Money Laundering Regulations

Under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, we are under a duty to report any or all suspicious activities to the authorities where we believe that any income, capital or property being used comes from the proceeds of crime. The proceeds of crime include monies received as a result of tax or benefit fraud, whether or not they have been spent or received. If we do develop a suspicion, then we do not have a duty to inform you of this suspicion, and these regulations supersede, in certain circumstances, the overriding client/advisor rule of confidentiality.

In order to satisfy the money laundering requirements you have been asked to provide us with photographic ID, ie a passport or photographic driving license and one form of address ID for each of you; you have kindly supplied these and we are holding the same on our file.

We hope that by sending this letter we have addressed your immediate queries about the day to day handling of your work and our terms of business. If you still have any queries, please do not hesitate to raise them with me.

5. Cooling off period

All our clients have a 14 day period from the date of instruction in which to cancel this agreement if they change their mind. If you wish to cancel this agreement you need to confirm your wishes to cancel in writing by filling in the Cancellation section of this letter below and sending it to:

If you change your mind after the 14 day period has elapsed then your case will be stopped at the point we receive the cancellation section below and we will charge on a pro rata basis for the work that has been carried out, so for example if you have had drafts documents then we would charge 75% of the total fee in recognition of the fact that the Final documents and attestation meeting have not taken place so it would be only fair that you would still be entitled to a partial refund.

Refunds are processed in accordance with our company policy and procedures and are managed by our Finance Director, he will ensure that all refunds are fully processed within 30 days of receiving the cancellation notice below.

6. Mode of Acceptance

We have an effective contract with you from the time you have traced your signature on the IPad or similar device. It is from this time that your 14 day cancellation period begins. We will not commence work on your contract until the 14 day period expires. If the work you have asked us to undertake is urgent and you have told us that you want us to start work within the 14 day period, we will do so. Please be advised that if you request us to start work within the 14 day period, this may effect or end your statutory right to cancel the contract within this 14 day period.
